SRM held a session with Soma Valliapaan on “Union Budget”

SRM Institute of Science and Technology recently organized a program based on economy and business for the students of MBA, BBA, and B.com departments.
Soma Valliapaan, the Chief Guest was invited to the college along with the Chancellor of SRMIST, Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar as the guest of honour, Director of Science and Humanities, Dr. Balasubramaniam and the Dean Dr.Ponniah.
Addressing the audience in the auditorium, the chief guest talked about a very crucial and important topic in today’s scenario- “Understanding the union budget 2018 and its impact”.
The lecture mainly constituted about the Indian constitution, India’s GDP, the sources of revenue and expenditure.
He made some very valid points and with utmost perfection and ease made the ambiance very lively and buoyant by interacting with the students and the faculties alike.
In addition to this, he explored every nook and corner of our Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitely’s Union Budget. As the event reached its culmination he instilled the confidence in every student to become a successful person in future with his motivational speech, all the while sharing some insights about his upcoming thesis on Emotional Intelligence.
Hon’ble Chancellor also shared his experience about the day’s event with the youth present, which no doubt gained an abundance of knowledge about the union budget and its impact on Indian economy.
