Shasun Sanskriti” — An Art Exhibition of Pen Drawings, Digital Painting, Photographs done by the students of School of Media and Communciation, Shri Shakarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women was held on Friday September 13, 2019 at the College Premises. Celebrating the artistic talents of the students, on display were 25 pen drawings, 40 photographs clicked during a royal trip to Rajasthan and a photo walk to Kaliyanoor village in Kanchipuram and 25 Digital Paintings. There was a new display of conceptual Shoot as well. For the first time there were displays by the alumni as well.

Renowned Visual Artist and Creative writer Ms Parvathi Nayar inaugurated the Show and inspired the audience by sharing her personal stories of success and proved that Gender is a thing of the past in today’s dynamic world. Her invigorating presence motivated the students and she was in all appreciation for the Creativity of the students. Renowned Celebrity Photographer and Mentor Mr R Prasanna Venkatesh was the Guest of Honour.

Taking the experience further were the Expert talks held during the day by veterans like Mr R Prasanna Venkatesh, (Celebrity Photographer) Mr Praveen Chrisspugg(Creativity &Original Thinking) Mr Ramesh SA (Street and Landscape Photography) and Mr Ramanidharan (Monument Photography). These talks were amply supported by ace photographs of the industry experts.

Drawing and Photography competitions were held for the city school and college students. Cash Prizes were distributed to the best photographs and drawings. The event was also open to the public. Photographers, artists and people from various spheres of life visited the gallery and it was interesting to note that most of the exhibits were sold. Definitely, the exhibition was a rare treat for budding artists and a wonderful platform to connect with the professionals who can guide the students further.
