LIMA Hospital implements the scheme
It is time something is done for the welfare of women. Chennai based LIMA Multispeciality Hospital has taken a step in that direction by implementing ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme. As a part of the scheme, special devices were launched by senior BJP leader Tamizhisai Saunderarajan at the hospital premises on Monday. These devices can be used to screen women of breast cancer through a method that is radiation free and also painless.
A breast cancer screening camp was also held at the organisation’s premises on Monday where more than 100 persons stood beneficiaries. A van too was inaugurated by the senior BJP leader using which the screening device can be taken to the doorsteps of the needy to conduct screening of breast cancer. Dr J S Rajkumar, Surgeon and Chairman, LIMA said they are proud to host the screening camp at their premises and the group is poised to upgrade the existing facility in Kilpauk by introducing CT, MRI, Mammography with latest technology to ensure hassle-free and comprehensive cancer care treatment.
He also said that at LIMA, they believe in introducing the latest equipment to provide comfort zone to their patients. Simultaneously, we conduct training sessions frequently to our paramedical and non-paramedical personnel to ensure they are well-equipped to handle any exigencies.
Tamizhisai Sounderarajan said she was happy to inaugurate the camp, a pioneering initiative by LIMA led by Dr. Rajkumar and his team for the women as they are the strongest pillars of our society.
Currently, LIMA has strong presence in and around Chennai as a Corporate Multi-Speciality Hospital with 16 units in collaboration with top 10 corporate companies in Chennai.
Keeping the current scenario in mind, LIMA has plans to construct a comprehensive cancer care unit near Chennai. The proposed centre would be equipped with facilities in detecting cancer at early stages and treat organ-specific treatment at an affordable cost.
