“Fire Safety Week-2018”: Remembering the brave Firemen who lost their lives

The ‘FIRE SAFETY WEEK-2018’ was inaugurated by the Executive Director (Regional Services), IndianOil Southern Region, Mr. S. Senthilkumar at Indian Oil Bhavan, Chennai by unfurling the Safety Flag in the presence of Mr. R. Sitharthan, Executive Director, Indian Oil Tamilnadu State Office on 16th April 2018.

Addressing the employees, Mr. Senthil Kumar emphasized on the need for adhering to safety procedures and thus curtailing the number of accidents in locations. He also requested all employees to ensure safety at workplaces particularly administrative offices and complimented the Health, Safety and Environment team for their efforts to ensure safety at locations.

Mr. K. Basker, General Manager (Health, Safety & Environment), Indian Oil Southern Region delivered the Welcome address and reiterated significance of observing Safety Week in memory of the brave firemen who lost their lives during the Mumbai Dock explosion on 14th April, 1944, administering the Safety Pledge and further requesting all employees to dedicate themselves to the safety cause.
