TN NCC cadets get governor’s pat

Six medals won in all India category

NCC cadets of Tamilnadu had a time that was worth cherishing their whole life recently. They received a pat from Governor of Tamilnadu Banwarilal Purohit for their performance in the recently held Republic Day celebrations at the national capital.
The 111 strong contingent with 87 boys and 24 girls cadets have won six medals in the All India best cadet category including four gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal. 
NCC Directorate of Tamilnadu, Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar was also adjudged as ‘best marching’ contingent in the Rajpath during Republic Day. The cultural team of the contingent was also adjudged the best.
Overall the directorate has been adjudged the best directorate Runner Up for the year 2018-19 for the second consecutive year. Governor congratulated them for their achievements and emphasized on the character building and importance of following right virtues.  
He also advised the cadets to choose a role model in their life Mahatma Gandhi and former President A P J Abdul Kalam and learn right virtues from their life. Banwarilal Purohit also exhorted cadets to achieve higher goals in their future life.
