TechGig gets a big hug, more than 30,000 registrations receieved

Response for ‘TechGig Geek Goddess 2019’ the popular online coding contest for 2019 has received a great response with a registration of 37,705 participants so far.

Sources say the contest was opened for participants on 19 August and the registrations are being accepted till October 14. This is women only coding competition.

Last year, victory of Snehalata Mishra who hails from a remote village in Bihar in the TechGig contest managed to generate enugh enthusiasm. She was a person from a humble background and managed to crack 95-day long coding battle and turned Champion of TechGig Goddess 2018.

Organisers of the contest hope this year too the same enthusiasm will be generated due to the competition.

TechGig Geek Goddess 2019 promises to be bigger and better than all of its previous editions. The kind of enthusiastic queries that we have already received from our community makes me believe that this year’s edition of Geek Goddess will do justice to the expectations and help corporate India spot the brightest and most talented women IT professionals in the country, said Sanjay Goyal, Business Head, TimesJobs and TechGig.

This time it is the fifth edition of the contest and it will be held on technology related segments like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation, Cloudify Everything, Solution Hunters Hackathon among others.

The participation in the previous year was 68,791 and this time the organisers expect it to be even more than what was seen last year. American Express, globally integrated payments company joined hands with TechGig in its efforts to find out the best women technologists in India.
