AN INTER SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION IN ENGLISH AND HINDI WAS ORGANISED BY COAST GUARD WIVES WELFARE ASSOCIATION (CGWWA), EAST ON 11 NOV 17. THE AIM OF THE LITERACY ACTIVITY WAS TO ENCOURAGE THE YOUNG STUDENTS ON PUBLIC SPEAKING. THE EVENT WAS CONDUCTED IN 3 STAGES BY TWO MODERATORS AT COAST GUARD AIR STATION CHENNAI.

STUDENT OF 08 SCHOOLS OF CHENNAI PARTICIPATED IN THE EVENT. PRESIDENT TATRAKSHIKA (EAST) MRS. NIDHI BARGOTRA, GAVE AWAY PRIZES TO THE WINNERS, MASTER Y KISHORE (IX-STD) AND MISS VARSHA (IX STD) OF MODERN SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL IN ENGLISH DEBATE ON TOPIC “RURAL DEVELOPMENT IS THE RIGHT ANSWER FOR UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM” AND TO MASTER PARTH RAJAGOPALAN (XI STD) AND MISS SIVANGI PANDEY (XI STD) OF THE HINDU SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL IN HINDI DEBATE ON TOPIC “PARTICIPATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN IN REALITY SHOW AND TV PROGRAMME IS GOOD FOR THEIR OVERALL GROWTH”.
