College gives a warm welcome for students

Special fervour ruled the roost over the campus of Mahindra Ecole Centrale College of Engineering (MEC) in Hyderabad on Friday last (July 19), as it extended a warm welcome to the fresh batch of engineering students.

Deans, directors and heads of various departments stood admiring even as the sixth batch of engineering students made an entry into the college campus. ‘We welcome you on MEC campus and will ensure that you receive the very best Engineering education.

We will equip you with the best of breed technical skills, social skills and life skills that will empower not just your career but your whole life as well. It will be our endeavor to mentor you to take on not just local and global challenges but also sharpen your  entrepreneurial skills,’ said Dr. Yajulu Medury, director, MEC. 

Students were taken through an introduction to the different areas on offer by the heads of the departments. They were introduced to buddy system for better coordination at MEC. Club interaction and ice breaking sessions also took place. 

The three days are jam-packed with academic, cultural and sporting activities, giving the students a chance to get to know the institute, their teachers as well as classmates. These activities will surely expose them to what is in store for them during their four years of life at MEC.
