SHASUN SHRUTHI’18 an ‘INTER- SCHOOL CULTURAL FEST’ HELD

Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women organized SHASUN SHRUTHI’18 an ‘INTER- SCHOOL CULTURAL FEST’ on 13 th December 2018 in the College premises. The program began with lighting the lamp and Prayer Song. In this mega event 14 Schools and Dance Academies from the City participated with great enthusiasm.

Sri V. Balagurunathan, Alumnus-Kalakshetra & Artistic Director, Krishnanjali Academy, Chennai was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural Session. Dr. B.Poorna, Principal, welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. In her address she praised the beauty of Classical dance and stated that “Music washes out the dust of soul everyday”.

In his Inagural address, Sri V. Balagurunathan, appreciated management for organising SHASUN SHRUTHI’18 in the month of Margazhi which adds one more feather in the cap of Shasun College. He further expressed his gratitude for their tremendous effort to spread Indian Culture through Classical Dance.

His young and dynamic Bharatnatyam disciples delighted the audience through their performances. It was followed by the performance of dancers from various schools. The programme provided great platform for school students to showcase their artistic skills.
