Students march forward into the larger arena of life

For them, it was a day most memorable in their lives. For, it was on that day their hard work bore the fruit. It was with the help of that what they earned will help them charter their future course of life.

It was for the students of Mahindra Ecole Centrale (MEC) College of Engineering, Hyderabad, that day became the most memorable moment as they moved towards the dais and received their degrees. About 218 students received their degrees as MEC organized its convocation day.

Governor of Maharashtra Ch. Vidyasagar Rao was the chief guest. He inaugurated the new NVIDIA Supercomputer-based high-performance computation (HPC) Laboratory and the e-Mahindra Business Incubation Centre.
Dr. Yajulu Medury, Director, MEC said students must give their best to their chosen profession and do MEC proud. He said at MEC, they are focused on giving a holistic education so that their students become all-round professionals. ‘We will continue to provide guidance and mentorship to young engineers and hope that the students will excel in whatever they undertake.’Vineet Nayyar, chairman, Mahindra Educational Institutions and chairman, executive committee, MEC, said at the institution, they train students to leverage next-generation technologies, along with teaching liberal arts and other subjects like economics, history, cinema and philosophy, making of topical documentary films, communication skills,  so that the students can relate technical sciences to the real business environment. ‘Their goal is to shape leaders of tomorrow by offering best in class education and job opportunities.’
