A display that won the hearts of all

A day before the passing out parade ceremony at Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai always turns special. This is because of the impressive display of the skills by not only cadets who undergo training at the prestigious establishment but also other units of Indian Army.

Be it a motorcyclist braving all the way through a ring whose brim is filled with fire or a horseman making an effort to pick up something on the ground while riding at full speed were among the amazing feats seen during the event  popularly known to all as ‘combined display.’

The splendid show started with equestrian display performed by the cadets and instructors of the horse riding club of OTA. Gymnastics display by the cadets also took place.

What makes this event really special? One gets to see these kind of brave acts in real. Normally, it is only in movies where people get to see such deeds. Lieutenant General Sanjeev Kanal was the chief guest for the display.

Daredevilry act where a motorcyclist while aptly balancing rides along with nine people on his bike turned cynosure of all eyes. Motor Cycle Display Team of ASC Centre South, Bangalore performed dare devil Motor Cycle Display feats.

The renowned team of Para Regimental Centre, Bangalore presented the para motor show. The attraction was also the Gatka display, the Indian martial arts which is associated with Sikhs. The event culminated with the Chief Guest presenting mementos to the participants and appreciating their skills.
