CG gives a big thumbs up for health

Indian Coast Guard rose to the occasion once again and gave a big impetus the health. A free medical and eye checkup camp was conducted as a part of Coast Guard Week celebration for 2020 to mark its 44th Raising Day by Coast Guard.

Sources from the Defence Ministry say the health camp was conducted at Chennai Primary School in Thiruchinankuppam on 29 January. The medical camp was Eastern regional headquarters of Indian Coast Guard.

People in large numbers from Thiruvottiyur have benefitted by the camp. In the medical camp, free health checkup and diabetes screening were done.  

Medicines were distributed to the needy at no cost. The eye screening camp was conducted in coordination with Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, screening for cataract and vision abnormalities were done.
