From Nagaland to Chennai for national integration

Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai turned the attraction spot when 20 girl students and two women teachers visited it as a part of national integration tour.

Defence Ministry sources said the team of students and teachers came to Chennai accompanied by an officer from 40 Assam Rifles. The team was from remote schools of Nagaland.

Students were elated to experience the training environment and infrastructure in the academy and expressed their keen interest to join armed forces after interaction with Lieutenant General Sanjeev Kanal,  Commandant of the Academy.

The students expressed that this was a lifetime opportunity for them and they would spread the good words about the new and rich experiences with their friends, relatives and school. 

They were very thankful to the Indian Army for providing them with this kind of exposure. The student team also interacted with Governor of Tamilnadu Banwarilal Purohit. The students stayed in OTA during their visit to Chennai that went on from 4 to 7 January.
