SSLC exams in Bihar record superb 80.95 pass percentage

Bihar Board 10th result which was made public on 26 May recorded a pass percentage of 80.59. This meant that 12,04,030 students have passed out of 14,94,071 students who have applied for the exam.

Bihar Board 10th result last year recorded a pass percentage of 80.73. It is worth recollecting that the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) conducted the 10th standard exam on 17 to 24 February this year.

Over 14 lakh students have appeared for the 10th exam this year. Sources say efforts to deliver Bihar Board 10th result at the earliest were made.

The evaluation process was said to have been taken up adhering to social distancing norms. Even software was put to use this time, this is said to have speeded up the work of processing the Bihar Board 10th result by over 15 percent.

The talk earlier was that the Bihar Board 10th result was to be released on 22 May. That did not happen as few more works regarding the evaluation was supposed to be completed.

As far as Bihar Board 10th result is concerned, out of 14 lakh students who appeared for the exam 7,29,213 were boys and 7,64,858 were girls.

This year Bihar Board 10th result showed that the pass percentage among boys was more than that of girls. This is said to be quite different from the usual trend.

The number of girls who took part in the exam was higher but the number of them who passed was not so. Bihar Board 10th result showed that the total number of candidates passing the exam were 12,04,030.

And, number of girls who passed out were 5,90,545 which is less than that of boys. About 6,13,485 boys have emerged successful in the exam.

While most of the candidates who have passed the 10th exam are in second division. Bihar Board 10th result specified that over 4 lakh students got first division, the number of students who got second division stood at 5,24,217.

As per the figures of Bihar Board 10th result, candidates who have passed in third division stood at over two lakhs. Soon after Bihar Board 10th result was declared there was good deal of enthusiasm.

While there were various official websites to check the Bihar Board 10th result, many of them were down as they could have experienced heavy traffic.

Over 14 lakh candidates have written the exam and Bihar Board 10th result declaration would obviously increase traffic on the official websites, says S. Manish Kumar, a parent of a 10th student.

‘My parents were also enthusiastic about my son’s result, but I could not do anything as none of the websites were actually working.’

It was only by about 4 pm that I could access my son’s Bihar Board 10th result. He came out in flying colours and that had made my family members happy, delay caused in knowing the result just vanished from our minds.

Manish was not alone when it came to having such experience. However, heaving a sigh of relief was S.P. Singh, another parent of a 10th pass out student.

All these candidates had to do was to choose one of the websites namely ‘biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in‘, ‘onlinebseb.in‘, ‘bsebresult.online’, ‘bsebonline.org‘ and ‘biharboard.online’ for knowing the Bihar Board 10th result.

Once they entered into the website, they had to provide their roll code, roll number and other information to know Bihar Board 10th result.

But not many could do that as most of the websites were down. Thankfully, ‘onlinebseb.in‘ was working and I could know my daughter’s result, says S.P. Singh who too was relieved.

Meanwhile sources from the authorities concerned say failure of website to respond could have been due to high surge of visitors on the official websites.

However such things are only temporary, candidates could wait till the things set down and look for their result, say sources.

Bihar Board 10th result points out that the topper this year is Himanshu Raj with a score of 96.20 percent. Sawan Raj Bharti was the topper the previous year with a score of 97 percent.

More than 30 students are said to have been positioned in top 10 ranks this year. It is interesting to note that topper in this year’s class 10 exam topper in Bihar (Himanshu Raj) is a son of a farmer and he aspires to study sciences in plus one and plus two and subsequently study in IIT and become a software engineer.

Himanshu has scored 481 marks out of 500 to become 10th topper in Bihar and he is a student of Janta High School Tenyaj in Rohtas. The second topper as per Bihar Board 10th result is Durgesh Kumar with 480 marks out of 500.
