Punjab Association supports Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

With a humble beginning in the year 1937 the Punjab Association, Chennai grew into a Big Banyan Tree and spread its wings in various welfare activities.
We are never far behind in helping our brothers and sisters at times of crisis. On the day of announcement of Lockdown on 23rd March 2020, we were one among the first to denote Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and handed over a Cheque for Rs.50 lakhs to the then Honble Chief Minister in person.
Our journey never ended with this and we donated thousands Food Pockets, Masks, Gloves, Water Bottles everyday. The mission started on 28th March 2020 and lasted till 8th May 2020 during the first wave of pandemic we have been providing Lunch Pockets, Mineral Water Bottles to the Doctors, Nurses, Police Personnel and frontline workers, under the direct supervision of Shri Vikram Aggarwal, Managing Director of Radisson Blu Hotel, who is also the President of Punjab Association .

Now during this second wave, we have donated 1 lakh Masks to the needy, besides supplying 500 Pockets of Food Pocket with Mineral Water Bottle daily to the Hospitals which was flagged off by the Honble Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment, Thiru P.K. Sekar Babu, who is also the Co-ordinator for Covid Relief on 27.05.2021. We assured to extend this supply so long as required.
We have also organised a Covid Vaccination Camp at Anna Adarsh College, M.G.R Adarsh School, Adarsh Vidyalaya and Gill Adarsh School on 28.05.2021 for groups under 18+ category for the benefit of Students, Teachers and general public at large.
Today we have donated Rs.50 lakhs towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the Honble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru M.K.Stalin and the Cheque was handed over in person by Shri Vikram Aggarwal, President, Shri Ramesh Lamba, General Secretary and Shri Harish Kumar Sanghi, Treasurer.
We pledge to continue our services till the pandemic is completely eradicated.
