This Chennai man makes affordable ventilators

Entire nation is battling corona virus outbreak and Chennai is not an exemption to it. However, the capital city had made a difference to this battle it can be said.

Technopreneur from Chennai Krishna Kumar has taken up the task of manufacturing ventilators at affordable costs through his company Kriti Kare India.

The role of ventilator becomes crucial in battling COVID-19 and the one manufactured by Krishna Kumar’s company is available for Rs 2 lakhs.

Kriti Kare is making cost effective ventilators and is providing them to both private and government hospitals.

Earlier, they were into importing ventilators from abroad and selling them here. Later on, they began manufacturing ventilators here itself.

Krisha Kumar said they are manufacturing three models of ventilators and one of them is ‘ACUVent’ This is the one used in a patient as COVID-19 condition turns serious.

While ventilators available in the market cost upto Rs 15 lakhs, a ventilator of Kriti Kare is available at Rs 2 lakhs.

What are the plus points? This ventilator is made in such a way that it does not occupy much space and can also be loaded in an ambulance also. It makes use of oxygen gas mixed with air in the outer atmosphere.  

There is more to this ventilator than meets the eye. The need for frequent maintenance for this ventilator is not much required. And this does not need expensive spare parts that have to be changed at regular intervals.

As corona virus cases have grownup so has the demand for the ventilators. They are able to enhance manufacturing with able support of Ashok Leyland, he said.
