AWBI to be vigilant to curb Cow and cattle trade

Animal Welfare Board of India has recently issued a direction regarding preventing cruelty to cattle. As per the notification issued on 20/7/2018, the directive is aimed to commence work and to restrict transportation for animal sacrifice.

The Committee will visit different States in coming days to ensure curbing cruel and illegal cow and animal marketing, transportation, smuggling, slaughter and sacrifice.

The Board has requested all animal lovers to restrict their involvement in illegal Mob lynching, if any, and report their information, grievance, violation and steps. 

A statutory body of Government of India has taken the cognizance of Cruel and illegal cow and cattle transportation, Slaughter and Sacrifice and constituted National Inspection Committee and nominated Dr SK Mittal Mysore, Sri SK Srivastva IGP BSF (Retd.) Delhi, Dr. SK Jain Ludhiana, Sri Kamlesh Shah Mumbai, Sri Vijaypal Singh Director FASSI and Mr Chandrasekhar Delhi State Animal Welfare officer apart from concerned state officials.

The grievances will be taken by State and Central Government with details of prevailing Central and State acts, rules, otifications.
