Gwalior Vyapar Mela or Trade Fair is one of the biggest and most famous trade fairs in Madhya Pradesh, which was started by then king of Gwalior, Maharaj Madhav Rao Scindia, in the year 1905. It’s been more than 100 years since its inception but theMela is still loved and admired by the people of Gwalior.

The ‘fair’or what the locals of Gwalior commonly refer to as Mela starts in January and stays until February. Major sites of attraction in Gwalior Mela are the Shilp Bazaar, Jhoola Sector(amusement park), Pradarshini(Exhibitions), Book Fair and various other places blended to Mela.

Thousands of locals along with their friends or family, visit the Mela every day, do shopping, enjoy flavoursome and mouth-watering food, have a thrilling experience of rides.

Shilp Bazaar, a beautiful crafts market consists finest of handicrafts and artworks. It is a must visit in the Mela. You can buy ravishing and artistic handmade things from the Shilp market.
