Last date for Defence India startup challenge extended

If you have the capacity to produce an equipment that our nation’s armed forces will be able to use and do their duty effectively, you will be rewarded. 
Defence India Startup Challenge is the one thing that offers you a chance to win the reward and show up that you can do something proud for this country. One can be a sartup company, micro, medium or small scale enterprise or even an individual, but if you have the capacity to manufacture something for our country’s watchdogs, one is welcome to take part in the challenge. , 
The challenge launched by Defence Innovation Organisation with support from Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence and Atal Innovation Mission and NITI Aayog for the Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) scheme on August 4 invites proposals to adress the needs of our defence establishment.
The challenge was thrown open after inauguration by Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on August 4, invites applications from individuals, representatives of startup companies, small, micro, medium enterprises for producing equipments, technologies, prototypes in the fields of ‘Individual Protection System with built-in sensors,’ ‘See Through Armour,’ ‘Carbon Fibre Winding (CFW),’ ‘Active Protection System (APS),’  ‘Secure hardware based offline Encrypt or Device for Graded Security,’ ‘Development of 4G/LTE based Tactical Local Area Network,’ ‘Development of Advanced Technology Based Desalination System (Water Purification) and Bilge Oily Water Separation System,’ ‘Artificial Intelligence in Logistics and SCM,’ ‘Unmanned Surface and Underwater Vehicles,’ ‘Remotely Piloted Airborne Vehicles’ and 
‘Laser Weaponry.’
The sources further point out that those who have the capacity to produce equipments for our armed forces will be will be awarded up to Rs 1.5 crores, strictly on a milestone basis in the form of grant/equity/debt/other relevant structures along with incubation and mentoring support. Applications can be submitted at ‘aim.gov.in/idex‘ by October 31, 2018, in the online form.
