Well if it isn’t the renowned high school drama all set to run for one last time. The 13 Reasons Why season 4 is about to release on Netflix and its trailer assure to reveal all of its pending secrets. Apparently, the plot is headed towards the consequences of Clay and his friends framing Monty for Bryce’s death.

It’s been a long run for this controversial teen drama. After the very first season, the series was both highly received and criticized for its take on mental health and graphic depictions of suicide, respectively. A teenage girl, ‘Hannah’, who leaves behind tapes for her classmates explaining why she decided to end her own life, is the female protagonist, binding the series for the first 2 seasons. Her character was a portrayal of a victim who was bullied and sexually assaulted.

The season 2 continued with a lighter tone on suicide and more towards the legal implications behind the female lead’s death. On the other hand, the season 3 focused on multiple storylines and deviated from Hannah’s story into various teen issues. This series was also well praised for its music album, which captured the younger audience with its vibrant artists and strong lyrics.

On May 11, Netflix announced that the teen drama will return for its final season on June 5. They also shared this news with an emotional sign off video, featuring the cast at their final table read.

With a span of 10 episodes, this season looks to be centered around the death of Monty, as his lover Winston is shown to explore why Monty was framed for Bryce’s murder before being killed in prison, which is something that the gang knows all about. It also indicates that the group may have to pay both legally and mentally, for the secrets they’ve been keeping about the deaths.

The main cast of students whom we are all well familiar with, like Clay (Dylan Minnette), Justin (Brandon Flynn), Jessica (Alisha Boe), Tony (Christian Navarro), Tyler (Devin Druid), Zach (Ross Butler), Alex (Miles Heizer), and Ani (Grace Saif), will all be back. In order to investigate the unknown and to get some justice for Monty, Winston will also be seen during the course. The viewers can expect a few new faces in addition such as Clay’s therapist and the new high-schooler who tries to fit in the school.

The trailer also hints about Clay’s mental health issues which seem to be an effect of the happening mysteries among the gang members. The audience can expect a good run of surprising revelations and a dramatic send-off for this graduating group.
