Movie Review : CHINTU ka Birthday

Chintu ka Birthday is a comedy-drama 2019 Hindi language film starring Vinay Pathak, Tillotama Shome, and Vedant Chibber as the lead cast.
The film is directed and written by Devanshu Kumar and Satyanshu Singh. The movie is available on ZEE5 and has wrapped up with a great story in just 1 hr and 15 mins of duration.
The movie is a sweet story of a 6-year-old boy named Chintu who is stuck in Iraq with his small middle-class family. This family went to Iraq illegally to make money. And unfortunately, they are stuck in the war between America and Iraq at Saddam’s times while the other Indians who were living legally have escaped with the help of the Indian government.
In this whole mess, Chintu is happy because of his birthday and is eagerly waiting to celebrate his birthday with his family and friends. He too has the same birthday wishes as others have to cut the cake with his friends and make a bundle of memories with his family.
Though, the name of the movie suggests that this is a kid movie but no that’s not the reality, the movie seems to be very sweet from the outside but is really very thrilling and interesting from inside.
The movie revolves around the emotions and thrill just like a pendulum and as the movie is related to a real-life incident of Saddam’s time it makes us feel close to it.
The movie has very well used the game of human relations which sometimes will make you emotional and even force you to cry. Emotions related to the bond of a father’s daughter, father-son, and husband-wife prove themselves the backbone of the movie who forces us to understand the real value of those relations.
The movie also gives a hidden message in which the director shows that in the war of two countries the presidents do not have to sacrifice anything but who sacrifices is none other than the common people living in the countries.
Vinay Pathak has done an outstanding job in the movie as he always does, and Tallotma has proved her ability and has shown that though she hasn’t got good opportunities in Bollywood because of nepotism.
But She is really capable of making a movie gain a small profit to take it to the journey of a blockbuster movie. Though Chintu and his sister play the role of small kids, their expression will steal your hearts in a second.
