Beauty and affluence on TV – an analysis

We come to know about many events and incidents from mass media and medium like TV reveals social changes taking place over time.

Beauty and affluence in our contemporary society are revealed to us by TV according to Dr.Gerlad V. Flannery, a former professor of communication at the University of Louisiana USA.

Kalyan jewellers have launched an all-out war against competing stores on account of hectic competition in the market place and have used actor Prabhu in all its commercials.

Testimonial advertisements are common nowadays in India and these advertisements and commercials reveal the beauty and affluence of Indian society. Shah Rukh Khan and Katarina Kaif are featured in Lux advertisement, a TV commercial beautifully.   

PM Modi executed dams as Narmada one shows he is result-oriented as matters need to go on to keep country on modernization drive all get reflected in media today as we have to keep pace with the rest of the world on warpath.

This is seen on TV or films or in print media as modernity or Indianness is not different from what is felt in the rest of the world.

The real crime is an economic crime as seen in the administration of PM Modi as he administers justice to poor downtrodden and women in many ways and if he makes administration as transparent as possible.

Media reflect beauty and affluence, right or wrong of society who can perform or who can’t who is to be used in administration or who has to administer or for how long, etc.  As we know many things happen in society or a nation, media mirror or reflect as TV plays a role in reflecting society or nation.

TV today must reflect the educational scenario as education is advanced in all countries and needs upward mobility of a person in society on the right path on money or even spiritual matters.

Beauty and affluence also need critical portrayal as in India or America daily 100 murders, rapes, suicides take place and it is important to prevent such without beauty and affluence not losing its charm. We need to include the country’s people and all in this process effectively so that mankind gets maximum benefit.

Also, we need lessons in or from TV on anger management as it takes a toll of people’s lives heavily in India as many murders are committed on account of pure anger or motive as for women or big money or some such.  TV to portray beauty and affluence in a moderate amount so one can aspire, work to get to live happily.

TV in other countries as Russia might portray a general scenario or moderate quantity of societal news to keep society free from crime or some such thing as Moscow was said to be crime-free when communism was at its height as people can move in freely in subways. 

Whether it exists or not there is a narcotizing effect of TV or media as Sean Mcbride commission speaks on many voices one world as it was mentioned as a communication function.  

Beauty and affluence make one look at the TV and appreciate it well or aspire without doing or getting into trouble of any kind. We see beauty and Affluence on those and make us to wonder as what a civilization it is etc.

American TV like Indian one is all entertaining, no doubt but obscenity or pornographic content should not be tolerated as serials as Poorman’s Bikini beach Blotched or even Bay Watch, to say the least.

India has big Doordarshan 500 TV channels as video cassette recorders were popular during the 1980s and small rooms in cities as Mumbai Chennai would be converted into cinema theatres as this was popular during the 1980s but VCR revolution could not go on and we have VCDs or DVDs today.

We have had four communication revolutions. 1st one dealt with books or print second on films and radio, third on TV and computers as well as fourth on the internet or new media. 

We know of Indian beauty or affluence from Indian TV as it is very popular today in communication circles of India as we are born with TV or TV boom. As the US has ABC CBS NBC and Fox network, we have Doordarshan or private channels as well as cable or satellite channels effectively.

CNN is a 24-hour news channel that broadcasts in the US and around the world as BBC is for the UK, around the globe also seen in far off places as Nigeria, etc.

PM Modi is on the right path empowering women building factories, dams and bullet train launch, etc. He has won confidence votes because the only person like him can empower educated and literate as President Obama did in the US as we can see West in a better way for its appearance and not in another way around. 

Also, the home Minister RajnathSingh empowers women and the corporate sector effectively in speaking out against mob violence as it happened before and right in empowering civil society.
