Why is #FreeBritney trending on social media and why are Britney Spears fans worried?

A cursory glance at pop queen Britney Spears recent Instagram posts and you will get the sense that something is terribly off. The toxic Singer  left 25.2 million followers confused in the last week of June when she started posting images which look more like mug shots. She is seen sporting the same three tops, and if you zoom in and look closely, you are bound to see that her pupils are shockingly small in size ( which is a sign of heavy sedation) so what is going on with Britney Spears?

Since 2008 ,the singer has been under conservator ship arranged by her father, Jamie Spears and a lawyer . A conservator ship is an arrangement meant for people who can’t take care of themselves, like senior citizens and minors. Effectively, Britney, who is 38 cannot drive a car , vote , get married, spend or see how her money is being spent, or even leave her home, or contact anyone without being monitored, without her father’s permission.

 Failing Which, he can have her admitted to a mental health facility. Despite this, in the last 12 years, Britney has released four albums, done 3 world tours and launched multiple products.

We all know the public meltdown Britney went through in 2007 when she broke up with her husband Kevin Federline and shaved her head (which led to her temporary conservator ship in 2008). However, by the end of the year, it was made permanent by her father. Many fans believe that her father has been exploiting Britney for her money. In June 2019 , he mentioned in a court statement that his relationship with his daughter has always been strained.

Hashtags like #saveBritney and #FreeBritney, which originated in 2009, began to gain momentum and trended on social media.
