Southern Railway train gets LHB

There has been a development on the Southern Railway recently. Chennai Central to Coimbatore Inter City Express has been sanctioned Linke Hofmann Busch coaches.

According to sources from Southern Railway, the service of Train No. 12679 – Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.R. Chennai Central – Coimbatore Junction – Intercity Express will be operated with LHB coaches from Monday, 23 December.

Similarly, the service of Train No. 12680 – Coimbatore Junction – Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.R. Chennai Central – Intercity Express will be operated with LHB coaches from the same day. The coach composition will undergo changes.

The revised coach composition for both the trains will be two AC chair car coaches, 13 second  class coaches, four general second class coaches, one pantry car and two luggage cum brake van coaches.
