Rescue and relief to TN fishermen assured

Inspector General S Paramesh, Commander Coast Guard Region (East) paid a courtesy call to the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamilnadu O. Panneerselvam 17 September.
IG Coast Guard shared several facets of the service and apprised the Deputy Chief Minister with respect to various developments in the Area of Responsibility.

Discussions were focused on strengthening the maritime domain of this coastal state. During interaction, the Deputy Chief Minister was assured that Indian Coast Guard would continue providing rescue and relief to the fishermen whenever they are in distress at sea.
