No threat shall befall this nation

The three units of Indian armed forces are on high alert and everything is done to keep to ensure this nation doesnot come in the harm’s way. This was the point driven home in a joint statement issued recently by representatives of three units of Indian armed forces.
Indian Navy is deployed in high state of readiness and remains poised in all the three dimensions namely on surface, under-sea and in air to deter any misadventure by Pakistan in the maritime domain, said Rear Admiral D S Gujral.
‘I can assure of a resolute, swift and strong response when needed. We stand as one with the Army and Air Force to ensure the safety and security of the nation and our citizens.’ Speaking further in that statement Air Vice Marshal Ravi Kapoor said Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter aircrafts attempting to target Indian defence installations were intercepted.
They breached the Indian air space at west of Rajauri in Sunderbani area and were seen heading towards general area Jhangar. IAF fighters including MiG-21 Bison, Su-30 MKI, Mirage-2000 were tasked to intercept the PAF aircrafts. Though bombs dropped by PAF aircrafts fell into the army formation compounds, they did not cause any damage to them, he said.
An F-16 fighter aircraft of PAF was shot down by MiG 21 Bison of Indian Air Force (IAF). This fell on Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir territory. IAF also lost a MiG 21 Bison and its pilot landed in the same territory after ejecting safely his parachute. Major General Surinder Mahal said Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violations in Sundarbani, Bhimbar Gali, Naushera and Krishna Ghati sectors in Jammu and Kashmir on 26 February post counter terrorist strike by IAF.
PAF also attempted to target few Indian Army installations in Jammu and Kashmir on 27 February. A brigade headquarter, a battalion headquarter, forward defences and a logistics installation were among them. Immediate response by our armed forces could prevent huge loss.
We continue to maintain strict vigil along the Line of Control and the international border. Our Ground Based Air Defence Weapon Systems have been put on alert on all along the Line of Control and some parts of the international border.
Mechanised formations too have been placed on standby. I wish to assure the nation that we are fully prepared and in a heightened state of readiness to respond to any provocation by Pakistan, he said.
No truth
There have been certain false claims by Pakistan, reminded Ravi Kapoor. There was no truth in their claim that two IAF aircrafts were shot and three pilots were downed. Indian army units have reported seeing two parachutes falling in Jammu and Kashmir area occupied by Pakistan. Similarly, there is no genuineness in Pakistan’s claim that they have dropped bombs in open area in our nation. The fact is PAF was targetting our military installations.
