From Australia to India
The delegation meets Indian Navy officials

The atmosphere wore a colourful look on the defence front in Tamilnadu when the Australian delegation met the Rear Admiral Alok Bhatnagar, Flag Officer Commanding, Tamilnadu and Pondicherry Naval Area on 2 February.
Defence Ministry sources pointed out the delegation was headed by Air Commodore Owen and was accompanied by Lieutenant Commander Philip Garrett and Caitlin Jensen. Australian Defence adviser to India Captain Simon Bateman and Susan Grace, Australian Consul General also accompanied the delegation.
The delegation met the Flag Officer as part of planning for the Australian joint deployment for Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019. The cornerstone of this deployment will be the bilateral naval exercise Ausindex 19 between the Indian and Australian Navies.
Two Royal Australian Navy ships HMAS Success and HMAS Parramatta will be visiting Chennai from 28 March to 1 April, 2019 before participating in the naval exercise Ausindex 19 at Visakhapatnam.
